NAMASTE project

Welcome to NAMASTE project

The Nanostructured Magnetic Materials for Nano-spintronics (NAMASTE) project is a collaboration between several leading European academic and industrial research groups. The aim of the project to extend our understanding of the properties of nanostructured metal and dilute magnetic semiconductor materials. The key ideas are to control and manipulate the nanoscale properties of these magnetic materials through the application of local strain or electic fields. It is envisiaged that this could make possible new types of spintronic and magneto-electronic devices.

This project is funded by the European Union under the Framework Seven program.
